THE YEAR IS 2020[/color][/font]
Our world has changed. Yes, the politicians still lie, the people still carry their prejudices, and the rich still get richer while the poor waste away. But something has changed. More and more mutants are revealed each day. Crime suddenly pays. Illegal street racing profits. Clubs and casinos are in a boom. The world is in a rebellion. The streets are filled with riots. Hearts are torn with questions.
It is an election year for the United States. As in most cases, two candidates have emerged as forerunners, bringing controversy with them. Running for the Contemporary party is Andrew Taylor, a Pro-Mutantist. Running for the Conservative party is Carlisle Richmond, an Anti-Mutantist. All the world is in deliberation. Will the citizens of the United States vote for or against mutants? Will the nonviolent protests of the New Mutant Program win out over the violent revolt of The Brotherhood? Will Mutant Supporters and Anti-Mutant Humans stand by democracy? Or will the world play dirty?
Discrimination isn’t the only terror facing mutants. Strange things have been transpiring in the mutant community. Some are disappearing, only to be found days later with amnesia, unidentifiable illnesses, or dead. Many believe it is the result of mutant testing; a vile act that still hasn’t been made illegal by congress, our system of justice. Mutants seek revenge or a haven. Both are scarce. Many find safety in the Xavier Institute, a secret mutant academy and refuge. Others flee to Harlem, to the Brotherhood, or into hiding.
Can you survive the revolution? Or will the world go down in flames?
*Revolution X is an alternate universe X-Men post by post role play, based loosely on the X-Men trilogy movies and the comics. We pride ourselves on the overall originality of our board. X-Men canons are, of course, welcome. But we do welcome canons from other realms (other comics, tv programs, movies, etc) with certain tweaks to fit the site. Additionally, we welcome human characters as well. Made for intermediate lever role players, we welcome anyone with an interest or questions wheather they are X-Men knowledgeable or not.
