Well, I guess now that I've officially botched this thing, might as well spill a bit about the school you're gettin' shipped off to.
That "gifted" thing in the name? Yeah, they don't mean "smart" or "good at sports". They mean "telepathic", or "I see dead people".
Sorry to burst your pretty little bubble, but it's the truth.
This means that yes, you will be accepted as being "weird, but nothing special". Unless you are something special... like that Sorrel kid. But he got nothin' out of being special, except he's banned from attending class. Or eating in the cafeteria. Or being around people in general...
Funnily enough, they're gonna let him have a roommate...

So yeah, special people. Weirdos.
Also, it's an all boys school.
And somehow, the faculty has managed to find mostly homosexual "gifted people". I dunno how they managed it. They just did. Not that I'm calling you gay, you're not that campy. Teasing, jeez. Can't ya take a joke?
But seriously, can anyone else say... sexual tension? Seriously, you can pretty much cut it with a knife.
