Abilities: Telepathy: She can manipulate and read the minds of others. Her notable powers can include:
Telepathic Defense: She can manifest her telepathy in a number of defensive ways.
Telepathic Cloak: She can mask her presence and the use of her abilities from being detected by other psions and psychic entities. She can extend these defenses to others around her as well. Cloaking via telepathy is not perfect and powerful psis may notice and 'see' through this ability.
Cloak Mind: gives Jean the ability to rearrange the “mental engrams” of mutants so their distinctive mutant thought patterns cannot be detected by Cerebro-type devises or by other telepaths.
Psionic shield: gives her the ability to erect a psychic shield for protection of herself and of others minds.
Telepathic Illusions: means she can create realistic telepathic illusions and cause people to experience events which are not actually occurring.

Telekinesis: She possesses telekinetic abilities enabling her to manipulate matter, and to some extent energy, psionically. She can levitate herself in order to fly at high speeds or merely hover, manipulate matter on a molecular level, project telekinetic shields capable of withstanding missile blasts, create objects of pure psionic force, focus her mental energy at a specific target in order she can release devastating force blasts, and control the biological functions of other lifeforms including other humans.
Ability Limits: . Being human she can be killed by bullets, stabbing, beating ect. Jean does have mental resistance, but if someone finds the right trigger they could bypass her defenses and attack her mind thus causing her powers to risk reacting and causing damage. Her telekinesis also has a limit of not augmented by the phoenix force, she cannot easily levitate something like the X-jet or something bigger without suffering from mental strain and exhaustion. Because of the risk of losing control of her powers due to mental stress or the surge of voices and thoughts in her mind Jean must rely heavily on others in order to help keep her stable and in control. She relies heavily on her friends and family and those closest to her in order to keep her sane. Her telekinesis is a danger if she loses control, Jean could easily harm someone by causing a building to collapse on them, or any number of accidents due to her ability to move objects with her mind.

GENERAL APPEARANCE---
Jean can turn men’s heads without even trying, it’s due of course to the woman’s striking beauty. Her eyes are usually the first thing to capture anyone, a deep emerald green that holds intelligence and gentleness inside. Along with those green eyes is the wealth of red locks that vary in length and that frame a face of flawless ivory skin and high cheek bones. She is physically fit due to all the training she goes through as one of the X-men her frame slender but well muscled. She has long legs that are also the focus of attention for many men, and she moves with easy grace.
Wardrobe: Jean isn’t one to go out and by every designer outfit that she can find, she dresses professionally most of the time but has been known to let go and don jeans and a t-shirt every once in a while. After all who says Doctor’s can’t cut loose and have a little fun every once in a while even when it comes to fashion. Some days will find Jean in a skirt and blouse and others will find the woman donning a pair of sweat pants and a tank top for comfort. She prefers dark colors for her clothing because it goes well with her hair color and pale skin though she has been known to wear lighter colors when the mood strikes her.

GENERAL PERSONALITY---
Jean has a very sweet personality but her personality can change, because deep down she is something more then what people think her mood can be good and bad. She has a sweet heart, always willing to do everything for anyone, she has a respect for all life even if they are not mutants. She is motherly to those who are younger then her, those who are students, even babies at times. Also very protective, if someone tries to harm someone she cares for, she will destroy anyone who hurts or even kills someone she cares for and even kill for the innocence. She is a fighter and her heart is very brave.
She is willing to go in blind folded into a place she has never been before, showing she has no fear going into dangerous areas she is willing to do it all. Her heart beats kind and true, because of her courage she sometimes over estimates and can get herself into trouble, not wanting to ask others for help. She can be proud that’s part of the reason she is the way she is, not wanting to show her weaknesses that she has. With a heart of gold she would put her life on the line.
Personality Weaknesses:
Jean relies more on her powers in combat then she does hand to hand combat though she does know how to do so. If she exerts herself too much mentally there is the chance of a backlash of power resulting in possibly passing out. She trains both physically and mentally as much as she can to keep herself ready if a battle ensues. She has a lot of self-doubts regarding her powers. There is also fear there that keeps her from reaching her full potential with her powers; she does not wish to lose control as she has seen others do before. She respects her own abilities and powers and wishes to always maintain control so she doesn’t hurt those she cares for the most. She is one to speak her mind when it needs to be spoken and it can often times get her into trouble if she doesn’t watch what she says. Mental stress is a danger to the woman given that her powers are mental and therefore rooted in her mind. Any form of stress too great for her to deal with risks her losing that fragile grip she has on keeping her powers from lashing out or back lashing. She hates people who judge her to be unstable and actually say so within earshot or if she picks it up telepathically.
Jean is a very easy person to get along with given her gentle nature; she usually has a smile and a kind word for everyone. She knows what it is like to be different as her own experiences have taught her, she is a shoulder to cry on or someone to talk to who will listen and not judge. She tries to give good sound advice to those who ask for it and help better everyone’s lives as well as her own. She exhibits a strong sense of calm and understanding whenever she is around people putting them instantly at ease with her. Though Jean has a caring personality she is far from being a push over, she is very confident in herself and independent. She can be very bold and opinionated and has no problem speaking her mind if she feels it is important enough to voice. Jean stands up for what she believes in and though she is usually a calm collected person she does have a temper. GENERAL HISTORY---
Jean Grey was born the younger daughter to Dr. John Grey and Elaine Grey. Before joining the X-Men, she lived with her family in Annandale-on-Hudson, New York, where Dr. Grey worked as a history professor at Bard College. Jean is the only member of her immediate family with mutant abilities. Her powers first manifest at the age of ten, prematurely triggered when her best friend, Annie Richards, is hit by a car. As her friend lies dying, Jean instinctively links to her mind and senses what Annie feels when she dies; the trauma of experiencing her friend's death nearly kills Jean as well, but instead leaves her in a coma. Jean's parents seek the expertise of specialists to rouse her out of her catatonic state, of which only Professor Charles Xavier is able to help. At the age of 13 Jean leaves her parents house to live and learn at the school.
Xavier works with Jean to develop and hone her telekinetic and telepathic powers finding that her telekinesis is much stronger then her telepathy. Over the time she spends at the manor Jean gains friends and completes her education through high school. Once she graduated she headed off to college to peruse a degree in psychology and medicine when she graduated from Metro College when she decided that being an X-man was not all that she wanted to do with her life. She eventually went for her Masters degree in both fields and after earning both degrees Jean went on to become one of the doctors for the school helping students who were injured. She has the ability to do everything from simple stitches to full surgery if need be, though she does have help when it comes to any surgeries that have to be done at the manor. She also became a counselor for those who needed help by talking and needing someone to listen. Jean has become an avid speaker for mutant rights, often traveling with the professor to speak at conferences to fight for her kin.

ROLEPLAY SAMPLE---The sunlight glinted off the surface of the pool as it moved slightly with the light breeze and caused faint ripples across it. Ir was a perfect day to simply relax next to the pool and soak up some sun without having to worry about the students hogging the pool and making a ton of noise. Jean ran a hand through her thick waist length fiery locks as she stepped out of the manor towards the pool and smiled. Sunglasses covered her eyes and a robe was wrapped around her slender frame that hid the black bikini she had slipped on earlier. The redhead padded over to one of the lounge chairs and spread her towel out on it so she could sunbath. The robe was slipped off a moment later revealing the flawless ivory skin and black material of the bathing suit, and the woman settled down on her back with one arm resting against her forehead. She let out a soft sigh as the smile returned and she cocked one leg upward slightly and settled her other hand on it.
The soft warm breeze and the sound of the water shifting in the pool made for a relaxing time as Jean continued to soak up the sun without any interruptions. As she lay there enjoying herself a sudden brush against her mind had her shifting and sitting up to scan the area. She was alone by the pool and the surrounding area did not hold anyone that she could see, but the feeling remained that prickled at the back of her mind. The redhead slipped the glasses off and blinked at the light as her eyes adjusted. Emerald orbs scanned the area again as she shifted to get up and move to the diving board. There was no threat, she was imagining things, so she decided to enjoy the coolness of the water instead of lingering on the feeling in the back if her mind.
Jean stood on the diving board and stared out at the expanse of water in front of her before she lifted her arms and bounced lightly on the board to gain the height she needed to dive. A moment later found her executing that dive perfectly and making hardly a ripple in the water as she landed and moved along the bottom of the pool. Jean opened her eyes under the water and they widened as her mouth instinctively opened and she took in water. A flash of bright light and the image of a phoenix had flashed in front of her eyes causing her to start in surprise. Jean’s mind screamed for air and the woman pushed herself up towards the surface breaking the water with a gasp. She pushed her water sodden fiery locks back from her face as she took in air with soft gasps. The tingling in her mind started once more causing her to nearly go under before a stabbing pain raced through her mind. The next thing Jean knew she was levitating over the pool causing the water to boil under her, phoenix had broken through once more.
