GENERAL HISTORY---
He was kidnapped from the hospital when he was born by a group of thieves who raised him as their own. When his mutant powers began to kick in around the age of fifteen the 'family' of thieves began to really rely on him for missions until one mission ended in his capture by a group of scientists. He spent three years being moved from cell to cell, prison to prison, and lab to lab until finally using his power and skills taught to him by his adopted family Remy conned the guards, and gambled his way out of his cell, then on to freedom. He returned home and was unable to find his family where they'd once been. He later found most had either been caught or just ran off after his capture so he decided to move on as well. He traveled from city to city, using the money he'd con of people as he went until he finally decided to settle down in New York.
He would hang around with other mutants from time to time, and not even in an attempt to scam them because well for once he'd found groups even more down then him. Deep down he figured it was some pathetic need to feel like he belonged somewhere but every time he'd get comfortable something would happen. Someone would run off and join some 'alliance' or they'd just disappear, and it would give him the cold reminder that normal isn't achievable and he'd be off on his own once more. Though he carried on the illusion things could possibly be fine until he was 22 and was nearly captured again hanging out with a group of mutants who were just simply talking at a park. He hates to admit it now but he left a lot of people behind, people he could have saved and while he won't do anything about it, it haunts him ever so slightly.
Now he carries on with the mentality of not getting too attached, and you basically can't trust anyone. It makes living easier.

ROLEPLAY SAMPLE---Remy wondered the back ally, kicking boxes aside half way hoping for something interesting to catch his eye; but alas it was a boring day. The sky was gloomy and most suckers were indoors somewhere hiding from the immanent rain. He wondered out to the sidewalk passing shops and people running to avoid the rain. Remy stopped in front of a poplar coffee shop where he used to do his best scams before the owner figured him out and banned him. He smirked as the man in the window picked up the phone, threatening to call the police again. Remy simple laughed and walked off. If anything he made that place popular! They owed him!
He continued his stroll down the street till he came upon another ally way. Down it was a cardboard box set up almost like a lemonade stand. It was swaying slightly in the wind and the water from the ground had began to turn it's cardboard foundation into mush. Remy looked closer to see a homeless man with a cap of money shuffling cards. He couldn't help but smile as he strolled up to the man. "Aye now, ya wouldn' be making gamblin' deals now would ya?" He asked he older man who had stopped shuffling.
The man stared him down for a moment "not with your kind!" He spat harshly, continuing to look him up and down.
"Aw, now c'mom. No need to be rude..." Remy purred, plucking one of the cards from the man's hand and charging it so it began to glow a bright red and hiss lightly. The man's eyes widened as he bolted from the ghetto little stand, leaving behind his money and other good in his fearful dash. Remy playfully pouted as he watched the man run. "Pity.." He grabbed the cash and pocketed it before lightly tossing the card back on the deck, igniting the whole stand.
"Ah well, guess I should find me a new playmate.." He smiled and blissfully walked away from the wreak, ten dollars richer.
