His fingers drummed against the lunchroom table in the cafeteria; the food in front of him, except for the fruit and drink, had been untouched. Vinny James scanned the cafeteria as the rain on the outside pounded against the window like a drum. Because of the rain, the cafeteria was uncomfortably packed with students. Thankfully, Vinny had managed to snag a table by himself, all the while looking at his schoolmates in utter disgust. He did not hold a grudge against any of them and he was not considered an outcast (although some questioned his formal way of dressing), though he found being around the students with unquestionable disgust. Why?
Humans. He swore, after joining the brotherhood and being content with being with the oppressed, yet superior, race, he saw humans in a different light. Them in general was pathetic and what made it worse was the fact that the food here wasn't edible. Food that a person had to force down? That was just way to much for one person to fathom and Vinny, being a person with little patience, could not tolerate it. The mix between being surrounded by 'inferior insects' and his stomach rumbling from hunger made Vinny hang his head in disappointment.
Just then, an idea popped into Vinny's head. He was a mutant; an aerokinetic mutant -- he could move the very winds that was around him. While he wouldn't be as reckless as to fly from one side of the cafeteria to another, he would have some fun with his abilities. Some discrete fun; some old-fashioned horse-playing. Vinny stood and fixed his leather jacket, meticulously looking at every part of the jacket, making sure that it was squeaky clean. So far, so good. His head turned as he saw more people come inside and a smile crept on his face. Yeah he had special abilities, but why would he have all the fun? Why not let other people get involved as well?
Vinny stared at the food in front of him and kept an eye on the mass of people entering the cafeteria.
"Not now... when it fills up, then I act." Hey, he might even get some people on his side to conjure up some havoc. His fingers drummed, his leg shook, his mouth had now became a grin stretching from ear to ear and the group in which he despised so much, the humans, would become his favorite interest.
Hell, he would soon have a use for the food in front of him after all.
