It was amazing, an all you can eat buffet of every single kind of food known to man! It was all his.. Every inch of it, every mile of the sweet scents and tastes and the only thing standing in his way was the limit of his stomach! His mouth watered at the sights before him, though each step closer he got to the bountiful meal of the gods the further away it got.. He began to run as fast as his four feet could carry him, quicker and quicker more determined to get the food than ever as if it would be his last chance to ever eat! It seemed now as though his limited stomach was not his only issue. There just seemed to be no way to reach the food!
A low whimper escaped his mouth, his tongue dragging from exhaustion. He continued to run but got no where until soon the scent faded and the foods before him vanished. A pathetic howl of defeat and immature agony fell across the land and Asher awoke.
He panted loudly looking around the room, dangit! It was late! He looked back to see a twitching tail... He'd changed in his sleep? Well, this wasn't shocking, not after a dream like that... Asher tried to change back but the grumbling in his lower stomach kept the beast awake.
Asher groaned loudly, this wasn't going to go away. He hopped out of bed and with the skill he had to acquire over time got the door open. This was humiliating. He made a mad dash towards the kitchen hoping no one would hear the patter of canine feet through the halls.
He finally reached the kitchen, he couldn't wait! He managed to get the fridge open and attacked the first thing his nose lead him to, he stood on his back feet his front hanging on one of the fridge shelves as he dug into the chicken on the second shelf, the animal in him taking over and his human side not really caring much... This was freakin' delicious! He was so taken by his midnight snack he never heard anyone else come in, or he might have died of embarrassment right there.

When there is never any good in the fridge, a person learns to buy their own food and keep it in a safe place. Just that night for dinner Wolverine had boughten his own chicken, and cooked it up. At the time there hadn't been anyone around in the kitchen, which was good because Wolverine would have torn their head off if they had even looked at his chicken. He had eaten most of it, but he had hid the leftovers in the fridge, daring anyone to touch it. He didn't think anyone would be stupid enough to, they all knew Wolverine and knew what food meant to him. Wolverine had gone to bed pretty happy (Or at least as happy as he would ever get).
But he woke up a few hours later, being hungry again. Wolverine was always making trips to the kitchen, and this night was no different. He growled at himself as he got out of his bed, and walked out of his room. He didn't bother putting a shirt on (he wore only a pair of jeans) he planned on grabbing his chicken and heading right back to his room. It would be a rare occasion where he could just grab food from the kitchen, and leave. Usually he spent a few minutes trying to find something good to eat. Wolverine walked down the halls, barefoot, heading towards his destination. He stomach growled louder as Wolverine got closer to the fridge. He was in a fairly good mood, happy that he would be able to grab his chicken and run pretty much.
As soon as he got to the kitchen though, and poked his head in, his mood immediately turned from fairly good, to really bad. It didn't take long for Wolverine's brain to register that there was a wolf eating his chicken. "What the hell is this?!" Wolverine roard, thinking a wolf had just wandered in and decided to steal his kitchen (Him not even wondering how a wolf would have been able to come in). Wolverine growled loudly and began stomping towards the wolf, intending on literally kicking it out.

The odor of someone coming hit him before the person actually got close enough, but Asher really didn't care, he wasn't breaking any rules.. Or, so he thought... And anyway this chicken was just amazing! He continued to eat as quickly as he could, while still enjoying every inch. But, as this smell got closer the reality he was in wolf form hit him.. Oh geez this person would be freaked.. Worse.. This person smelt.. Huge..
Before he could even react his ears were filled with a loud voice causing Asher to jump so hard his head hit the top shelf and the plate holding now a bone or two of the lovely chicken fell to the floor. Asher yelped as he jumped back, quickly backing away from the angry looking man. A small chicken bone still caught within his teeth...
Asher could tell the man was staring at the chicken, this.. wasn't good. Asher spit the bone out and tried desperately to change back but it wasn't happening. It was times like this he was grateful his horrid ability gave him some mercy and human and mutant ears alike could hear his voice.
"Uh.. I can explain?" His voice rose out of the wolf's mouth as Asher tail flicked back and forth nervously.

Taryn stroked her hand over the side of Adagio’s black face lovingly, staring up into the gelding’s large, dark eyes. She pulled his forelock down between his eyes and brushed her fingers down the stripe on the middle of his face. He was such a good friend, and companion. At only five years old, he was still practically a baby. More like a teenager reaching adulthood, much like herself. His lovely black coat practically glistened thanks to the grooming she’d just given him, and the white spots spangled his hips like a blanket, showing the Appaloosa blood in his veins. His height, though, showed the Thoroughbred cross in him. Leaning her head forward, she kissed the bridge of his muzzle before exiting and locking his stall behind her. She was so glad that Professor Xavier had said they had stables on the school grounds for the likes of horses. Taryn had a feeling she would have been heartbroken if her parents wound up selling Adagio.
Walking out of the barn, she looked up into the dark sky. Normally students would be asleep at this point. What was it, midnight? Eleven-something? One-something? She didn’t know. She’d been unable to sleep thanks to a series of memories keeping her awake, so she’d gone to the one thing she had that reminded her of home – Adagio. She’d groomed him lovingly and talked to him. He always stood still, his ears twitching as he listened to her voice, as though he actually understood her. How she wished he could, she would have someone to talk to…someone that would listen…to how much she missed home; despite the fact she was unwanted, hated, and feared. She looked at the ground as she walked to the school quickly, up the steps of the main entrance and sneaking inside. She probably wasn’t supposed to be out that late, but…what were you going to do? She didn’t feel like she could read anything, and at the same time she couldn’t just do nothing, either.
Stepping through the doors, she was surprised to see some students were still awake at this hour. Werent there classes tomorrow, unless she missed something? She wandered quietly, almost aimlessly around the floor, praying silently that there were no students roaming the halls that she couldn’t see…like perhaps if they could turn invisible. The last thing she wanted was to hurt somebody by bumping into them. The silence was broken when she rounded one of the corners. A faint light was on from a door a ways away…was it the kitchen? She silently went forward and heard stomping, followed by an outburst that she knew couldn’t spell anything good for whomever it was directed at.
She quickened her pace slightly and edged through the archway into the kitchen, where her eyes were met with the sight of a large man towering over…a wolf? That…had just spoken? A student…? she wondered, a bit intrigued by the mutation that allowed them to shift into a wolf. That was really cool. However, tension crackled through the air, and…although it might not have been the wisest thing in the world to do, she spoke, as though trying to calm the storm before it broke with a bit of humor.
”Doesn’t anybody sleep around here…?”

It was near cloudless night as Jordan sat staring out the window at the moon. Sleeping wasn't an option for Jordan as he was burning up from the amount of energy he had absorbed. The professor had informed Jordan that had should have nothing to worry about. The heat wouldn't kill him and with time he would be able to control the burning. For now the only way to get rid of it was to burn off the energy.
Jordan looked away from the window and began to look at the ceiling. "Well, I don't wanna destroy anything. Burning stuff is out of the question. I could go for a run or..."
He glanced back over at the window. "Why walk when you could fly?" He quietly said to himself. One of the last things the professor informed him about his abilities was that with training he could learn how to fly. He stood up from the bed and slowly walked towards the window. He slowly began to open window making sure not to make too much noise. Carefully placing himself not to fall he climbed out the window and sat on the lip of the window.
"Okay, this is no big deal if I fall I most likely won’t die. I'll break a few bones but death isn't likely. Ok deep breaths 1, 2, 3." He told himself as he tightly shut his eyes.
"Forget it, not breaking everything my first day." He opened his eyes and attempted to climb back into his room he could feel his grip slowly loosen. As he hastily tried to get into he could feel his grip continuing to loosen until his grip was gone. "Shit." He screamed as he plummeted towards the ground. "Please don't let me die. Please God don't let me die. After not immediately hitting the ground he opened his eyes. He wasn't flying but, rather he was floating about a foot off the ground. "YES!!!!" Losing his concentration he fell face first into the ground.
"Agh Ow, so close." He picked himself up, brushed himself off, and headed into the mansion. As he slowly roamed the hallways he heard a commotion coming from the kitchen. He peered his head through the doorway noticing a wolf, a young woman, and a large shirtless man. "What the???"

Wolverine took a couple more steps to the wolf, which he figured out wasn't a wolf when it spoke, and growled at it. "Did your mother teach you to go around stealing other people's food?" Wolverine said, growling more at the wolf. Wolverine looked at his chicken, which seemed to be pretty usless as most of it was eaten, and anything else probably had been licked on by the wolf. Wolverine snarled at that. He got closer to the wolf, and was ready to boot it in the face, when someone else spoke. "Argh!" Wolverine yelled as he looked around to see a student just standing there. "No, nobody sleeps around here. Now go back to bed" he growled at her. He then looked back at the wolf and got ready to kick it out again when another kid appeared.
Wolverine was not sure how to react with so many kids appearing out of nowhere, especially with one that had just eaten his food. Wolverine simply bent down and picked up a chicken bone, and threw it at the boy that had just poked his head in the kitchen doorway. "Damn kids" Wolverine said.
