Remy stood out of sight watching her celebrate the minor victory they'd just had. A few dollars for him and a phone and mp3 he's already sold. All in all it wasn't his favorite heist almost not even worth it. But just the mere joy he's seen her express made it good enough. Though now she'd gotten that purse he'd have to think of something else to get her for Christmas. Damn the hardships of being a thief.
He sighed loudly with a small smirk sure she was tough as hell but when it came down to it she was just a little girly girl it was adorable and had he not already known her he'd have doubted this "little girl" was a thief almost better than him. Sure he could easily con women and the confused man or two but this girl could get to anyone. It almost wasn't fair.
Remy came into view clapping almost sarcastically "a wonderful performance m'dear" he looked down towards her knees frowning ever so slightly "ya sure don't have a lack for sacrifce do ya?" He could never be ok with such actions, but who was he to tell her how to do her job? Or.. Life.. More like.
"Sorry I'm late darlin' had ta make a stop" he said tossing a small bag at her. Inside was a new and in his opinion much better looking dress than the one she'd ruined for the small prize. "Ya'd be proud of meh. I actually bought that'un" he smiled brightly sure it was with stolen money but still.. It's the thought that counts... Or the attempt.. Whatever.

He watched the purse get tossed aside and almost as quickly as she'd stood she was on him in a hug. He sighed and joking pet the top of her head "s'ok it's justa dress" he waited a moment and sighed once more hugging her back quickly before wiggling out of her embrace "what if someone saw eh? I aint gon' look so tough huggin' children" he joked looking around as if someone would actually dare to watch them.
He looked around their suroundings "so dinner than home?" He asked looking her over "perhaps ya might needa slip somewhere an change they surely gun' be lookin for ya by now" he mumbled hating the idea. It's not out of the normal people try to find the 'innocent' girl and help out or at least catch the crook.
There were a few people wondering around causing some noise but he didn't figure they were going to be any trouble. Not for them at least.

Remy waited patently with his back turned, sure she was out of sight but still it was polite. Anyway he wanted to keep an eye out for anyone hoping to put faces to the sounds he had heard earlier. He rocked back and forth a while waiting "ya gon' take forever?" He called back, expecting to hear a sarcastic reply. But when he heard nothing he instantly spun around. "Kid?" He called out, again expecting something. Calling her kid was usually a way to either annoy her or generally get a hold of her.
He took a few steps towards the way she had gone when he heard small whispers and wimpers his steps turned to a dash he didn't hesitate to come into view a playing card already lit in hand expecting the worst. When the worst was confirmed he tossed it their way being sure to avoid hitting her. The mild blast scared the men far enough away from her he was able to dash in and grab her before she hit the floor "dammit" he mumbled realizing she was out.
He tossed her over his shoulder being as gentle as he possibly could. He glared back at the men who began to creep closer. Hunters? Thugs? Whatever they were before he didn't care because as far as he was concerned now, they were dead.
He effortlessly pulled five cards out of the pack in his pocket and admittadly lit them with a little more energy than intended. His anger getting the better of him. He tossed them at each man throwing them back into the brick wall behind them sparks flying and igniting the trash that surrounded them all.
Remy smiled at the fire that was quickly spreading. It was no threat to him. With Tatiana on his shoulder he bounced over the flames that surrounded the men who were all but one knocked out cold. Gambit ignored the cries for help as he fled the scene.
He quickly took her home to their humble place in the back of an abanoned warehouse and placed her on the heap of cushions they considered a sofa. He sat next to her on the floor waiting for her to awake.

He tried to wait calmly but he couldn't keep calm his insides were burning he was still so angry and yet so worried and the guilt.. It was maybe worse than it all. He could only imagine what she was seeing. Perhaps the death of the very men he had just killed. He felt bad for that too... Not for killing them of course, but because she had to see it.
He knew the second her eyes opened but he wouldn't look at her. He smiled slightly at her comment. "Dinner in t'night.." He mumbled, standing and grabbing a bag of chips to her. "It'll do fer now..." He plopped back down on the floor beside her. His mind racing. He couldn't keep this up if she'd gotten hurt any worse he would have never been able to forgive himsef.
"We're done" he said finally. "Well.. You are an'way" he said standing once more to pace "ah ain't gon' let you put yerself in those situations anymore" he stopping pacing to look at her and gage her reaction, sure she'd fight it. She was a thief, it was her joy.. But he knew only one other option and it made him sick.

He wasn't at all surprised by the outburst. Actually it was more calm than he had expected. Sure she had a reason to be upset but so did he. There was no way he could ever live with himself if anything had happened to her and if her powers kept up the way they had been it was a matter of time.
"Ah don't expect ya to just accept it but.. If were out there an you do this again.. What if.. Ah can't get to you in time?" He said hating the idea as it flashed through his mind. He shook his head this wasn't going to be easy any way it happened.
He was also expecting her to be angry with any choice he made but she should know by now he would inforce anything to keep her safe. "Ah I know we've been though worse but.. I dun'wan take these risks an'more with you bein' like this.."
He kicked the fallen chips that were on the floor "ya can stay here an clean.." He replied with a smirk "but ya'd be bad at it.."
He sighed deeply "it's that or.. I take ya to that guys school for mutants..." He mumbled finally. Knowing his options were few.

Remy doged a few pillows but let a couple bounce off him thinking it might make her a little happier.. Doubtful. She was pretty annoyed. He could understand why, he'd be worse if someone tried to change his lifestyle but he was sure this was the right thing to do. He had a lot of blood on his hands but there was no way he would ever let a drop of it be hers.
"Look ya aint gon' stay an' clean!" He said quickly throwing his hands up in annoyace "jus' sayin'" he leaned against the wall across from her. Laughing slightly at her comment "they didn' lay a finger on me" he said running his hand through his hair.
"No, you had a choice ya don' wanna stay home then ya gonna go to school" he said hating the fact he for once sounded like a parent.. It left a funny taste in his mouth... Maturity tasted funny.. He wasn't sure he liked it.
"It's.. A place of mutants that help.. People like us.. He said slowly thinking out every word carefully. "Meals, a bed... A real bed.. Safety.. An' help to control whatcha got.." He looked around the room feeling worse "it'd be a better life for ya"

Remy rolled his eyes he couldn't stand this teenage attitude stuff he wondered if human teenagers were this bad or if it was just another curse given to mutants. Either way it was the most annoying thing in the world. She was lucky he loved her or he'd have kicked her ass a lot more often than he already did.
"I's a much betta life!" He said quickly to her comment. Sure it had to be, it looked like such a fancy place, surely it was better.. Plus all the freebies and surely tons of people to rob.. NO! That was a horrible thought.. Robbing people who were trying to help save you.. Yeah.. This was possibly going to happen.
"An' hell no I ain't ever gone there!" He spat back quickly "Buncha human lovin' wuss bags" he mumbled. He'd met a few of them on the streets, always shaking their fingers 'robbing is wrong' 'we need to protect the humans' psh yeah like they protect us.
"You're gon' go. That's it.. You're gon' at least give it a shot.. if ya dun' like it, we rob 'em an' go" he said offering that much up. If she was anything like him it was a done deal.. But then that also would make her harder to impress.

This was getting annoying, he was going to have to go blow something up when all this was said and done. None of this was surprising... Well, ok a little.. But still it shouldn't have been this hard. He thought for a moment. Perhaps offering to rob the lame asses blind wasn't a good idea.. They'd end up doing it either way. But it was worth a try.
"Wha' if it was turned about eh? What if I was de one needin' help?" He asked, now trying to be logical. "Ah ain't eva gonna make ya give this up.. But.. Maybe play 'long ya know? Get help, get loot, then go.." he offered again, hoping the nicer way might help.. Probably not well though but anything was worth a try at this point. He couldn't have her randomly fritzing out during missions. There is only so many chances a mutant got before the cops turned to psychotic mutant hunters hired by cops. He could get himself out of capture and sure he would never stop until he saved her but.. it would be difficult as hell to try to get someone else out.
"We'd be doin' it together.." He said calmly. Hating it so much. He didn't want to go there, he was sure it would be hell.. But if it got her help, he'd do it.. But the bloodshed.. Oye it would be a terrible time.

He listened to her cry and complain, figuring she would never stop and he'd have to tie her up and drop her down a chimney or something. Not like she would stay long, but at least he could say he got here there even if it was just for a while. He really wished he had no heard her deal, let along felt compelled to give it to her...
"Erday?" He asked in a whiny tone. This was insanity. He moped about for a bit before throwing a pillow beside her and plopping down to sit. "erday but holidays.." he replied crossing his arms as if it was his final offer. "Holidays are the best times to steal an' I love ya darlin' but I ain't givin' that up" He smiled at her and extended a hand to shake "unless ya just go with me.. But ya goody, good friend can't know"
