Abilities:
Like her genetic equal, Laura has a healing factor, which enables her to regenerate any cellular structures that may have been damaged or destroyed in any way. This process occurs at a superhuman rate, but depending on the severity of the wound, the process will occur in contrast to the severity of the world. Another thing is that Laura is resistant to any poisons and such, due to this healing factor, and is also resistant to any chemicals created from bodily functions, such as fatigue. This healing factor is also what enables her to have enhanced senses, her hearing and sight acute so that she could see or smell a being from miles away.

Apart from her healing factor, Laura also has the gift of claws, in the form of two in her hands, and one in each foot. Her claws are different from the rest of her bone, and are sharper than the bones that are within her body, making them stronger than her other bones. Also, her claws have been coated with Adamantium, making them dangerous weapons, and allowing her the ability of being able to cut throw anything.

As stated before, Laura's senses are heightened due to the effects of her healing factor. Normally, she can recognize a being just by scent, even if they aren't in the room or anywhere near her, much like Logan can. Also, the healing factor has enabled her endurance to be greater as well as her reflexes and agility, which is the reason that she can last so long in fights, or, in other cases, let her flee an adversary if it is needed.
Ability Limits:
Though Laura's healing factor is quite helpful in the long run, there are some side-effects to it. During the healing process, she is still very much vulnerable to any other attacks and such. Also, if she ever suffers from any injury that is just to much for her to heal, it is likely she will die. She isn't invincible, so any major injury could very well be the end of her. After all, she only heals her body, but can only do so much.

Though her claws may give her an advantage in most fights, there are some technicalities that come with them. Like whenever Laura goes to bring her claws out, she must keep her wrists straight so that there are no complications when her claws come out. The same goes for her feet. Laura has to make sure that her ankles are straight so that the claw that is in each of her feet comes out smoothly. Also, whenever her claws do come out, the skin and muscle tear where they come out, but the healing factor quickly mends the damage.

Laura's heightened senses, though they may be helpful, aren't always good. If there is ever a loud sound, it will be painful to her, because with her senses so sharp, she is more vulnerable to most things that appeal to said senses. Also, Laura doesn't do very well in large cities or crowded areas, because, like stated before, her heightened senses make her much more vulnerable than the average person.

GENERAL APPEARANCE---
Laura has long, flowing black hair that reaches just past her shoulders, as well as a fairly thin curve in her body. Also being quite muscled for her body type, it is quite obvious that she is an athletic build. Being an athletic person in general, mainly due to her training when she was younger, as well as her constant up-keep of herself in current days. She has a fairly tan skin tone that tends to complement her eyes quite nicely.

Like any sort of feral predator, Laura has sharp canines that are very much like those of an animal, and like her claws, are quite sharp. Normally, they aren't seen much unless she smiling or making any expression in which her teeth are shown. Also, on her hands, in the spaces in between her knuckles where he claws come out, the skin is rougher that the skin that surrounds it, though it isn't scarred from anything due to her healing abilities. There is rough skin on her feet as well, from the claws that she has in her feet.

Wardrobe:
Laura doesn't have a very wide range when it comes to the clothing that she wears. On average, she'll just wear whatever she finds in her closet, never really putting much effort into her looks. The only time she ever puts much effort into her appearance is whenever it's a special occasion. Even then, it's rare for her to get all "dolled up" for anything. Laura is one that hates make-up, seeing no use in the products, and if she ever had to use it at all, it would be for a very rare occasion indeed.

GENERAL PERSONALITY---
Laura, though often thought of as a kind young girl at first glance, can be as ferocious as a lion. Like her "father", she often has a difficult time with anger, mainly because she had been subjected to the "trigger scent" used by Doctor Zander Rice more often than not, so whenever it comes to that portion of her personality, she can be a bit hesitant. But make note that if you anger her in any way possible, such as threatening her in any sort of way, she will be without mercy on the one that has caused her anger, and will almost become feral like in a way.

Though she may seem like an open book to those around her sometimes, Laura is guarded against most others. There are very few that she trusts completely and few that she will let in without much of a fight due to her past. If you lose her trust though, it is pretty much guaranteed that you will most likely never get it back, but if you do, it won't be for a while. It is quite known that Laura seems to have a place of trust for Wolverine, but has quite the soft spot for her "sister", Faith, because of their similar backgrounds.

At times, Laura does have her moments where she is kind and open to others, letting her more human nature show here, and not the nature that was imbedded in her from her childhood. At times like these, Laura seems to become normal, in a sense, and doesn't really let other things bother her much, and she seems to visibly relax at these times, almost like she is letting off a great weight from her mind, one that she always seems to have, no matter what the problem may actually be.

GENERAL HISTORY---
Laura Olivia Kinny was not born into a happy family like some people. No, she began as a strand of DNA, taken from the mutant known as Wolverine, or "Weapon X" as those that experimented on him liked to say. These same people are the ones that had saved this DNA strand that would become Laura Kinny. The head of the operation at the time, Doctor Martian Stutter, soon brought in Doctor Sarah Kinny to try and create a viable clone from the DNA they had saved from Wolverine's escape. After many tries, it was apparent that Sarah could not re-create the Y chromosome of the strand, so therefore proposed to create a female clone.

Stutter denied the request put in by the doctor, but Sarah went behind his back and went on with the process anyways. When she produced a viable clone from the DNA, Stutter began to reconsider, and soon told Kinny to proceed despite the protests of Doctor Zander Rice, his protege at the time. Out of spite for the woman, and wanting revenge, Zander forced Sarah to become the surrogate mother of Laura, due to the fact that his father had been killed by Wolverine the day he had escaped. Months passed, Sarah's each and every movement being watched with entirety, and finally, the day came. Laura was born into the world, born into captivity, and had been named "X-23".

As soon as she had been old enough, those at the Facility instantly began to train her to become the ultimate weapon, like they had originally planned for Wolverine before. Sarah, through all of this, tried to keep Laura as human as possible, not wanting the child to lose any of her humanity, but all her efforts seemed to be in vain, for they never made much of a difference, the young child still more like a programmed robot than a human at all.

After seven years, Zander had Laura subjected to radiation so that the process of her mutant gene being activated would be sped up. After that, Zander had her claws forcibly extracted her claws and then coated them with Adamantium so that they would become indestructible. After that Rice created the chemical scent that sent Laura into a berserk rage whether she wanted to go into this rage or not.

Three more years of training and instruction passed and Laura was sent on her first mission, which was to kill the presidential candidate known as Greg Johnson. After that mission was a success, Laura was sent on various other missions, due to Zander selling off her services to any of the highest bidders, but after each one, Laura was only more scarred each time, but it was emotionally, not physically. On one particularly dangerous mission Laura was sent on, Zander abandoned her, hoping that she would die as a way of revenge for his father, but after surviving against overwhelming odds, she had been able to make it back to the Facility on her own.

Following this, Zander persuaded Stutter into handing over control of the entire "X-23" project to him, but after this was done, Zander sent Laura to kill off Stutter and his family in secret. After he had gained control of the operation, Zander revealed to Sarah a room filled with pods, all female clones, but as soon as he did that, he instantly fired her from her position with the project. But Sarah proceeded to take Laura with her instead of just leaving her at the Facility.

As the two fled, Sarah told Laura to do one more thing: to destroy the other clones and kill Zander. She did exactly this, but Zander had been able to do one last thing before he died, exacting his revenge on Sarah one last time from beyond. The man had exposed Laura to the trigger scent before he had died, causing her to go into a rage and kill her mother. As Sarah lay there, dying, she had named her daughter Laura with her last breath.

Two years passed without any sign of Laura until she was found in New York, employed as a prostitute under a pimp named Zebra Daddy. During her time in his employment, Laura seemed to suffer from self-cutting. Whenever she found herself in a threatening position or situation, she would always begin to cut herself with her claws as a way of output. Along with this, she seemed to have personality troubles, making it hard for her to free herself from the grasp of Zebra Daddy, leaving her mute as well.

Things started to look up for Laura though when she met another young mutant named Kiden Nixon. With the help of Kiden and her teacher, they and Laura were able to rescue another mutant by the name of Catiana from an angry mob. After coming into contact with another mutant known as Felon, Laura was finally able to escape from Zebra Daddy, with the help of her new friends of course. She had had to kill Zebra Daddy in order to save her friends though, and after that she had taken a job at a night club in the mutant town area of New York.

It was while she was in this area that Laura rescued the daughter of mob boss Don Parisi through killing the thugs that had been attacking her. These deaths ended up accidentally being thought to have been caused by Wolverine, which had then resulted in the X-Men going to investigate what was happening. Instinctively, Laura attacked Wolverine as soon as she saw him, but Wolverine managed to calm her down enough, which then resulted in her leading them to Parisi's daughter. Laura aided the X-Men against Geech, Parisi's mutant executor after leading them to his daughter, but soon fled the scene after the bad was finished.

After she had been off the grid for a bit of time, Laura once again resurfaced after she had appeared to help the X-Men rescue some victims of a car accident. She had then been convinced to stay long enough to the point to where she had accepted being enrolled into Xavier's Institute as a student, and has been there ever since, having gone from the position of student to professor in the years that she had been there.
