Abilities: Shadow/dark manipulation- Ability to create or manipulate darkness. His main use of this power is to travel from shadow to shadow and with this ability he is able to travel distances simply by melting into the shadows. With this power he is also able to create/manipulate nightmares within the mind when people are sleeping although this isn't something he uses often.
Ability Limits: Will's ability is incredibly useful however although he can travel short distances with no effort at all he finds it much harder to travel greater distances and if he attempts to push his power to far he leaves himself completely exhausted and weak. His ability to bring nightmares in those who are sleeping is still a new power and as such he hasn't quite gotten the hang of it yet and instead more often than not causes his own mind to come up with such nightmares that leave him waking up screaming.

GENERAL APPEARANCE---
When you first look at Will one immediately thinks that he is a complete dork thanks to his hair that refuses to obey him and glasses he has to wear when reading but that’s ok, he likes letting people think that as it allows them to underestimate what he can and cannot do. He's always been tall and somewhat lanky but he carried himself with a quiet confidence many find quite disturbing and he's not quite so lanky that he doesn't have muscles hidden beneath his clothes and if he admits it he is quite pleased that he can boast to a rather nice set of abs. Not that he can be compared to someone like Wolverine in that department (and yes, he is rather jealous although he wouldn't mind getting that man near him...ahem...he digresses.)
Wardrobe: Will is not the kind of chap to dress up if he doesn't have to as he much prefers to roll out of bed and pulling the first thing on that’s close to hand. However, that's not to say that he doesn't make an effort when he goes outside the house...he is actually quite well dressed when he comes to it, he just doesn't always care about it. When he does dress up a little he tends to wear smart black jeans or black trousers (pants to you Americans) and either a tight fighting tshirt or just a plain black shirt depending on his mood. He will often wear dress shoes and he has never touched trainers in his adult life. He will always be found wearing a long black trench coat that looks as if its seem some better days.

GENERAL PERSONALITY---
Will is something of a mystery to everyone around him. He is a man of very few words and unless he actually knows and likes you will often say nothing at all past the usual pleasantries as he is in fact a very polite man. Will is in every sense a loner. He is someone who goes out of his way to avoid people and it is in fact a slight miracle that he even agreed to join the Brotherhood as he isn't exactly evil in that sense of the word. However, he is very dark thanks to his power and every time he spends extended periods of time in the dark he finds it harder and harder to find his way back to the light. Despite all of his personality flaws he is in fact a romantic at heart and hopes that one day he can find someone to take care of.

GENERAL HISTORY---
William was born to a loving family who owned a farm that did well despite it only been a small place. His parents were over the moon at having a son who would be able to take over the family business once they decided to either retire abroad or when they passed on and he was happy to live and learn the business as he really did love that farm. The small profit they made was used to send him to a good school that offered him the best education that was possible with the money they made and he made sure to do well in everything he studied. Even after his younger sister was born he always felt that it was his job to make sure that they were all looked after and swore that he would always earn enough to keep them going, no matter how hard things went.
Of course, when he hit puberty he began to notice different things about himself and like anyone thought these changes were the normal thing...he had never been told any different but it didn't really take much to figure out that being able to stick your hand into the shadows was not quite normal. When he told his parents they freaked out, as any parent would but they didn't kick him out. Instead they told him to never tell anyone and it was only through his temper tantrum that they even kept him in school as they wanted to hide him from the world they knew would judge and attack him. His sister thought it was cool. Until she accidentally told her best friend that her brother could do amazing things...big mistake. The whole town soon found out and by this time he was in his early twenties. He couldn't allow his family to be subjected to hate crimes and so packed up everything he might need and left.
He headed to America where he knew mutant rights had been an issue for some time. He hoped that by coming here he would be able to find something to help his family. So he has spent the last few years travelling about, going from town to town appearing in the middle of the night and disappearing just as quickly. He never stays in one place long enough to meet people and certainly not long enough to find a reason to stay. Apart from the Brotherhood that is...but that is simply because he hopes they will help him find what he seeks.
