[/size]Full Name: Alice Barbara Meyers
Nicknames: Ally, A
Codename: Water-Fowl
Age: 16
Gender: Female
Birthday: January 15
Species: Mutant
Orientation: Straight
Status: Single
Face Claim:
Student/Professor/Occupation: Student at Bayville High, she doesn’t have a job.
Which side are you on?: Neutral
Abilities: Alice has the ability to manipulate water. Her abilities first manifested completely only recently, and she is afraid of it. She has hydrophobia, and the very thought of water is enough to make her nervous. Her attitude towards it is rather avoiding, since she doesn’t want to confirm to herself that she is associated with water in such a way. However, she can convert water to liquid or steam. She can also heat it up to extreme temperatures, just so long as it does not turn to steam. Same with cooling it. She looses control as soon as it loses its' liquid property.
Ability Limits: As of currently, her power is extremely limited, as she is not willing to use the power at all. Also, in the future, she will only be able to manipulate water in its liquid form, not in a steam or solid form. She also gets very sore after a prolonged use of the power.
Character: Original
Eyes: Her eyes are a soft, almost grey shade of blue. They are wide, with a sort of almond shake to them.
Hair: She has brown hair she has died white, and she typically wears it down, with curls past her shoulder. She also has bangs, which she uses to hide her face when she’s reading a book or just trying to be alone.
Body Type: She has an hourglass frame, with a thin waist and long legs. She has thin, dangly arms and short legs.
Weight: 140 lbs
Height: 6’0”
Flaws: She bites her fingernails and the skin around them when she is reading, and so they tend to have small scabs around her fingers, and her fingernails are uneven and short.
Favorite: She absolutely adores her hair. She wouldn’t change its color for the world. She is very vain about it, and spends almost an hour every day making sure it is perfect.
GENERAL APPEARANCE---
Alice considers herself to be beautiful, even if others tell her something else. She has a round face with a pointy chin, as well as a short nose that sits perfectly between her two eyes. She has almost-perfect teeth, and she wears lots of makeup, even when it isn’t necessary. She claims it is for moral support. As previously mentioned, her brown hair has been dyed white and kept that way because she thinks it helps with “clear thinking”. She has a rather vintage feel to her outfits, and likes to spend lots of time buying outfits, even if she only plans to wear them once. She is very concerned with what others think of her, and so she is always on a strict diet and dresses to impress. However, that is also a flaw for her, as she is also very vain and stuck up, and gets lost in thought a lot.
Wardrobe:
Her style is dark colors and lacy patterns with lots of accessories and rings. She likes to mix colors such as black, white, and subtle colors like grey and mossy green. She dresses in short skirts and likes to wear tights with just about anything, no matter what the weather. Sometimes, this isn’t such a good idea on her part. Alice likes to stand out of the crowd, as well as impress others and try to look as “cool” as possible. Alice is a little vain, too. When she wears the same thing in a two-week period, she throws a fit. She MUST dress to impress. Anything less than the best is a disappointment to her, and she also thinks it would disappoint others.
The Likes:
- Clothes- Pretty self-explanatory. She likes to dress up, down, and anywhere in-between. She mixes, matches, and creates new outfits. Her habit is costly, and she often gets scolded by her parents for doing so.
- Photography- She thinks it makes her look cool, smart, sophisticated, and attractive. She takes pictures of everything, from an old magazine, to other people, to animals. Alice also demands that she develop her photos the old-fashioned way, in a black-room. She likes to spend her time with this hobby, but she still finds time for her shopping interests.
- Music. Although she isn’t much of a singer herself, she does play piano. She likes to compose music and listens to just about any form of it. Her love for it stems from people who put the corny captions on photos. She admits herself that it’s a silly thing to like, but she says it’s her problem, and so she can deal.
The Dislikes:
- Homeless people- She says they’re obnoxious. And lazy. And useless. She says that they have no sense in fashion, and are terrible photography subjects. She says they are smelly and have bad hair. Alice acknowledges that this makes her sound stuck up, but she says that life is full of jerks, and she is just preparing you.
- Disappointing others- Although she comes across as stuck up to most people, she still tries her best to impress people. If she does disappoint people, she usually feels bad and tries to vent herself in any way possible. This is linked to her manifestation of her powers.
- Bugs- Although it seems as a petty thing to dislike, but she says that they are tiny, annoying, and disgusting. She isn’t afraid of them, but she is just annoyed by them. She also thinks it’s disgusting how they squirt their guts when you squash them.
The Fears:
- Water- Ironically enough, she is, in fact, very afraid of water. It stems from when she almost drowned as a child. Several times. Because of this, she is afraid of any bodies of water, rain, swimming, and sometimes sweat.
- Death- She doesn’t want to die. Not this soon. Honestly, she wishes she could live forever. But her goal is at least not to die young. She especially hopes that she doesn’t drown. She thinks that dying by inhaling water would be a shameful way to die.
The Hopes & Dreams:
- Getting over her fear- Although she knows it’s a giant goal, she hopes that she will be able to overcome her fear and be able to tolerate her powers, especially since they are the very embodiment of fear itself, at least to her.
- Falling in love- She hopes to find a boyfriend, especially one that understands her. She would especially like that. She thinks it would kelp her to get over her fear and maybe become understood a little bit better.
Strengths:
- Concentration- She can focus on her powers and her activities, as well as what others are saying.
- Listening- She likes to listen to others. It gets her the idea of what the person wants, as well as what they like.
- Leading- She likes to lead others. To be in charge. To lead the charge. All those things. She thinks it’s easier to impress people when she’s in charge of them.
- Advising- Alice likes helping others. She thinks that it’s fun to help others with their problems. To her, it makes it easier to ignore her own.
Weaknesses:
- Control- She can’t control her powers. They come and go like her emotions. They can be in outbursts, and they are beyond her control for now. As for the future, she isn’t sure she will ever be able to master it completely.
- Keeping Calm- She has a fiery temper, somewhat contradictory to her power which is usually related to calm, quiet emotions. She takes everything personally.
- Aggressive- She loses her temper, and sometimes takes it out physically, wether on people or walls, or anything in her close proximity. That has sometimes led to herself.
- Irresponsible- This comes from her excessive spending of her parents’ money and poor grades in school. She isn’t orderly or neat in any way other than her phone contacts, her closet, and the way she dresses.
GENERAL PERSONALITY---
Alice is going through a sort of identity crisis. She can’t really decide what to be, and what crowd she fits into. Her attitude towards others really fluctuates, from friendly, to arrogant, to kind, to nervous, to just about anything. However, she always tries her best to impress others in the way she does so. Wether it is in a negative, positive, or in some way influential manner, she still does her best to make an impact. She is social, and enjoys getting to know others, even if she doesn’t like said person. She is outgoing and adventurous, and likes to go many places, as long as she doesn’t have to transverse any water, or go in the rain. She’s like a cat in the way that she likes to stay away from water, at all costs.

Hometown: Originally from Texas, she moved to New York after her mother got a business transfer.
GENERAL HISTORY---
Alice lived in Texas for a total of three years of her life. When her family moved to New York, after about four years, things began getting strange. It began when she almost drowned for the first time. She was swimming with her nanny at age seven, when her nanny went inside and she slipped inside and hit her head on the side of the pool. She fell underwater, and began inhaling water. She nearly fainted before her nanny came out and saved her life.
Again at age nine, she was with her friends on a fishing trip, she was fishing boat. Her friend began rocking the boat as a joke. Then, they both fell out.
For the next few years of her life, she had a somewhat normal life at school, no one picked on her, and she had a reasonably-sized group of friends. However, her parents both pressured her to get perfect grades. This is the reason she is so eager to impress others. Her shopping obsession didn’t begin until around age 13.
She felt misunderstood. Her parents were pressuring her more than ever to get good grades and impress high schools, and everyone was getting a boyfriend. For her birthday, she went on a shopping spree. She bought subtle colors, trying to blend into the crowd. She wanted to remain as anonymous as possible at her new high school. She did so, for only one year.
That’s when she decided, in a spur of the moment, to dye her hair white. That’s when everything sort of changed for her. Later that night, she was alone, and she was about to get into the bath. She was halfway to the bath to check the temperature. Although it was only a bath, she still was afraid of it. As she lowered her foot in, it moved away, leaving a perfectly dry bathtub around her foot. She freaked out, but kept it to herself.
This is where everything begins. Two years later, she has kept the secret to herself, although sometimes she has kept it to herself. She looks at life as a color-by-numbers puzzle. She wants to change what it means to be Alice, and she hopes to figure out what is happening with the water.

ROLEPLAY SAMPLE---Jay let out a sigh and stood up, startled by Eris’s soft hoot. She smiled and petted its smooth feathers before she picked up the cage and headed downstairs, to where her parents were waiting. They carried her trunk out to the car before they let her in, then took off to the train station. On the way, she told them all about how excited she was, and how much she looked forward to meeting others like herself. She smiled wider than she had ever smiled before, continuing to have told them about Eris and Diagon Alley. She told them all about her wand, an about how she was about getting to meet so many friends. They smiled and talked to her about things like how happy they were that she was going somewhere outside the house.
Then they reached the station. She unpacked her things into a cart, making sure Eris had been safely stacked on top. She then looked for an entrance to the platform she was told to wait for the train in. She then took the instructions of a friendly stranger who turned out to also be a wizard, hen soon ended up on the right platform. It appeared to Jay that there were many other people just as excited about going as she was. The platform was bustling with kids her age and older holding papers and wands, as well as wide arrangements of pets on their shoulders and in their hands. She very much disliked the noise, so Jay turned round and took her luggage and owl, and, after a brief goodbye, she headed of to the train, blooming with confidence.
As she got onboard, and the noise only got louder. She smiled at a couple people in cabins before she headed off to the back, where she found a vacant cabin. She took a seat, and then looked out the window. The sounds of the bell, and subsequently of the train leaving the station, added to those of excited voices of children. Smiling a little, Jay opened up her book, reading another one of her favorite stories.
With the aid of the story, the train rides passed by quickly. Soon, they reached a stop, and the voices became even louder. Jay was sure that her ears were going to explode from all the noise. Getting up, she took her things and got off the train, and then she followed a sloppy line out to the front of the train. She nearly dropped her things when she saw the massive castle in front of her. Her jaw dropped, and she was nearly paralyzed by the mere sight of it. She took slow and robotic footsteps, then headed over to where all the first year students were. The wonders did not stop once she reached the indoors. Candles hovered high above her head, providing ample lighting to the room filled with long, wooden benches. At the front of the room was a single stool, behind which a large array, of what she assumed were teachers, were seated..
Then, the sorting ceremony began.
